Knox County eClasses - Third year!

Click here for Student Application for Enrollment.

Knox County ESC, in conjunction with Point, Click, Learn, Inc. is now offering virtual courses for students in grades 6-12 using the award-winning A+ software!!! Students enroll through their own public school district and take classes from any computer with internet access, whether at home or at school. Courses may be taken for remediation, for credit, or for test prep. A tutorial provides instruction for each lesson and then students engage in practice questions until they are confident that they are ready for the lesson evaluation. Grades are based on the mastery tests at the end of the lessons after students have had plenty time to practice and to learn, maximizing student success for students at all readiness levels. Fully licensed, highly-qualified teachers check student progress weekly and communicate via regular email to encourage or support students as needed. Students must take mid-term and final examinations online at their home school or at KCESC with prior arrangement in order to receive credit for enrolled courses.

ECONOMICAL OPTION FOR DISTRICTS: Use your own teachers to monitor progress. Students have the advantage of a teacher onsite to ask questions and help them along as they use A+ software in their coursework. Check out the enrollment application for pricing details.

NEW ONLINE ELECTIVES FROM LINCOLN INTERACTIVE!

KCESC is proud to announce our partnership with Lincoln Interactive in order to bring you a wide variety of new electives. Please check with your home school to find out their policy on funding these new courses. Most of the classes are semester courses. CLICK HERE for a catalog of available courses and CLICK HERE for a list of prices. "Green" prices in the first column are for courses with no textbook. These courses are generally one quarter or one semester in length. Check course catalog for details. Courses with prices listed in column two are online courses and may have an online textbook. They are usually semester courses. The third column, Classic, represents price for an online course with a physical, hard copy textbook which will be mailed to your home upon registration. The price includes an online, highly-qualified, licensed teacher who interacts with the students via a software program called BlackBoard. These courses are NOT the same as our A+ class. You will receive a separate login and password and have a totally different format for the Lincoln Interactive elective classes.
